Patrick R. Peterson, VP Technology, IronPort Systems Inc.

Patrick Peterson is Vice President of Technology at IronPort Systems. He began at IronPort performing market research and product definition for the email infrastructure products that have become IronPort's Email Security Appliances and was instrumental in the creation of SenderBase, the industry's first and largest email traffic monitoring service. Prior to joining IronPort Systems, Peterson held engineering and marketing management positions at Savi Technology, including managing the Engineering and Manufacturing departments as Vice President, Engineering Operations. Peterson played a critical role during the sale of the company to Texas Instruments and also in winning a $111 million competitively bid logistics contract. Peterson holds bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University and holds patents related to antennas, radio frequency communications and email authentication techniques.

 

 

Robin Bloor, Chief Research Officer and Founder, Bloor Research

Robin Bloor is a leading authority and influencer in the industry. In his role as an industry analyst, Robin has become an influential commentator on many corporate IT issues and is in great demand as a presenter across the world on a variety of technology topics. His best-selling business book "The Electronic Bazaar: From the Silk Road to the eRoad" was featured as book of the week by the Times. It was referred to by the Library Journal (US) as "One of the Best Business Books of 2000".

Now living in Austin, Texas, he is still a regular visitor to Europe. He has also established Baroudi Bloor, as a sister company to Bloor Research, providing a local IT Analysis service to US companies.

He has been influential in shaping the direction and thinking of a generation of IT strategists and continues to provide insight on the direction of IT as it moves forward.
 
Matt Peachey, Managing Director, Northern Europe, IronPort

Matt Peachey has been the managing director of email security appliance vendor IronPort, since Nov 2003. He has built a large team and established IronPort's successful UK channel strategy. Prior to IronPort, Peachey was the third employee at Network Appliance and served nearly 8 years there in various sales & management roles. He was responsible for building the team that introduced NetApp's NetCache appliances into Europe and helped grow the UK business to over $100M. Prior to NetApp Matt spent 4 years in Sales at Sun Microsystems.

 

 
Doug McLean, Vice President Products, PGP

Mr. McLean leads PGP’s product marketing and product management functions. Prior to PGP, Mr. McLean served as VP Marketing at Postini Corporation and Vice President at LaunchPad a venture consulting firm. He has also held management positions at Xerox Corp., Apple Computer, and Hewlett-Packard. Mr. McLean has a B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University as well as an MBA from Dartmouth College-Amos Tuck School.
 
 
Julian Wheeler, Systems Engineering Manager,
Network Appliance

Julian Wheeler is the Network Appliance Systems Engineering Manager for UK/Ireland Channel Sales. He has over 15 years of IT experience and has been working for Network Appliance for over 5 years across a number of roles. Most recently he has been managing a team of Consulting Engineers to both strategic vendors and systems integrator partners, as well as the reseller channel for NetApp UK. Julian holds a BEng Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nottingham Trent University and, prior to joining NetApp, spent 7 years at NCR.
 
Keith Quinn, Managing Director, Essential (ZANTAZ)

Keith Quinn is the Managing Director of messaging specialists, Essential Computing Ltd. A graduate in engineering, Keith began his 21 year career in the IT industry as a consultant for Digital Equipment Corporation, moving on to take over Account Management for the retail sector, and later working with a Digital partner selling add-on hardware and software solutions.

He quickly recognised the future lay in software and in 1991 co-founded Essential Computing Ltd, with the remit to focus on software value added sales and quality support.

Essential has now entered into it's 14th year of trading, focusing on 'high-end' messaging solutions. Essential has been responsible for numerous high profile messaging projects with companies ranging from 100-100,000 employees, and is ZANTAZ's premier partner in Europe.
